Mechanical Engineer role designing building utilities for aviation projects, including airport terminals, MRO hangars, and control towers.
Supports project design from concept through construction and commissioning.
What you’ll do
- Lead design of plumbing and compressed air systems; HVAC design experience is a strong plus.
- Calculate flow rates, pressure heads, and pipe sizing.
- Develop controls, sequences of operation, and Building Management System integrations.
- Ensure designs meet engineering codes, local authority regulations, aviation requirements, and international standards.
- Manage local authority approvals, NOCs, and permits for design documents.
- Use BIM software throughout the design lifecycle; conduct clash detection and coordination using Navisworks and BIM 360 / ACC.
What you bring
- 10–15 years of mechanical design experience, heavily focused on UAE/GCC projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering eligible for MOE recognition.
- Mastery of Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of UAE authority requirements, including DM, DCD, and DEWA.
- Aviation experience is highly preferred.
- UAE Society of Engineers membership is preferred.
- Problem-solving, adaptability, and ability to collaborate under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
