Role overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, technical drawings, and construction details using AutoCAD.
• Review engineering, MEP, and architectural drawings and incorporate revisions and mark-ups.
• Prepare material take-offs and BOQs from project drawings and requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to clarify design requirements and resolve drafting issues.
• Ensure drawings, quantities, and technical details are accurate and aligned with project requirements.
• Maintain updated drawings, revisions, BOQs, and project documentation.
• Support project teams with technical drawings, material information, and drafting requirements; identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical drafting, MEP, or construction-related projects; 3 years of mechanical drafting experience is specified as required.
• At least 2 years of AutoCAD experience is specified as required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and detailed shop drawing preparation; experience in material take-offs and BOQ preparation.
• Ability to interpret mechanical, MEP, architectural, and engineering drawings; good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for take-offs, calculations, and documentation.
• Knowledge of acoustic systems, noise control products, or related construction materials is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
