Mechanical Design Engineer supporting design, development, and optimisation of equipment for power generation, critical infrastructure, and industrial environments.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and review mechanical design concepts for industrial and power-generation equipment.
- Evaluate enclosure designs, ventilation, cooling performance, noise control, and vibration mitigation.
- Review engineering drawings, technical documentation, and design specifications.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on practical, commercially viable solutions.
- Support technical discussions from concept through project delivery.
- Assess engineering designs and recommend product improvements and design optimisation.
- Participate in design reviews, technical problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, performance requirements, and customer expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Approximately 7–10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Power generation, gensets, generator packaging, or packaged power experience is highly desirable.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Understands mechanical system design, ventilation, cooling, acoustics, and vibration principles.
- Strong technical communication skills and comfort in customer-facing settings.
- Creo, ANSYS, or equivalent engineering-tool experience is advantageous.
- Relevant backgrounds may include power systems; enclosures and cooling; HVAC, noise, vibration, or thermal management; or industrial, oil and gas, and rotating/static equipment.
