Material & Logistics Coordinator – Infrastructure

Role overview

Material planning and delivery

• Coordinate delivery schedules with project requirements, construction schedules, and site priorities; monitor requirements using approved MRs, Material Submittals, BOQs, drawings, and schedules.
• Follow up on ordered materials and coordinate deliveries with procurement, project management, site engineers, storekeepers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Arrange transport to and from sites and ensure materials reach the correct site, work area, and location.
• Plan delivery access, unloading areas, and material handling with site teams.

Inventory, records, and reporting

• Maintain records of material receipts, deliveries, transfers, returns, and dispatches; coordinate receiving, inspection, identification, storage, and issuance with warehouse and store teams.
• Monitor material availability and identify shortages or delays; help maintain stock levels and avoid unnecessary overstocking and wastage.
• Prepare material tracking, delivery schedule, inventory, and status reports; report delayed deliveries, shortages, urgent needs, and logistics issues.
• Ensure delivery notes, purchase orders, material approvals, and inspection records support received materials; coordinate required inspections with QA/QC and technical teams.

Site logistics and compliance

• Coordinate movement of infrastructure materials such as pipes, fittings, manholes, drainage and road materials, precast items, cables, and aggregates.
• Plan transportation for oversized, heavy, or specialised materials where applicable; coordinate to avoid delivery conflicts and delays.
• Follow company material-control, storage, handling, site, HSE, and local regulatory requirements.
• Support project teams with material planning and resolving delivery and material issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of total experience in material coordination and logistics, including at least three years in UAE construction or infrastructure.
• Experience in material planning, procurement coordination, delivery scheduling, and site logistics.
• Good understanding of MRs, BOQs, Material Submittals, and construction drawings.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, procurement teams, site engineers, and warehouse/store teams.
• Knowledge of inventory management, material tracking, and logistics documentation; experience handling infrastructure materials.
• Good reporting, coordination, and communication skills; proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Additional logistics, inventory management, or supply chain qualifications are an advantage.
• Roads, stormwater drainage, sewerage, water supply, chilled water, or utility network project experience is preferred.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
