About The Role

Director – Master Planning

• to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of master planning initiatives across our portfolio of ultra-luxury developments.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for creating world-class master plans that seamlessly integrate architecture, landscape, mobility, infrastructure, and community experiences while ensuring alignment with Amali's brand vision, commercial objectives, and development strategy.
• Lead and oversee the master planning process from concept development through authority approvals and project delivery across multiple ultra-luxury developments.
• Develop land use strategies, development frameworks, density studies, circulation networks, public realm concepts, and community planning solutions.
• Manage and coordinate international and local master planning, urban design, landscape, infrastructure, and architecture consultants.
• Evaluate site opportunities, feasibility studies, highest and best-use scenarios, and development potential to maximize project value.
• Drive the creation of innovative, sustainable, and future-focused communities that enhance resident and visitor experiences.
• Ensure seamless integration between architecture, landscape, infrastructure, transportation, and public realm design.
• Lead master plan reviews and provide strategic direction to ensure alignment with Amali's vision and luxury development standards.
• Ensure compliance with local planning regulations, authority requirements, zoning guidelines, and development controls.
• Collaborate closely with Development, Design, Projects, Sales, Marketing, and Construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Present master planning concepts, strategies, and recommendations to senior leadership, investors, authorities, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor global trends in urban planning, placemaking, sustainability, mobility, and luxury developments to continually elevate planning standards.
• Conduct regular planning and design review workshops, monitor progress, and resolve planning-related issues effectively.

Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in master planning, urban design, or large-scale development projects, including leadership positions.
• Proven experience delivering luxury residential, mixed-use, hospitality, waterfront, island, or large-scale community developments.
• Strong understanding of land use planning, urban design principles, infrastructure coordination, transportation planning, and placemaking strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage internationally recognized planning and design consultants.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience evaluating development feasibility and maximizing land value.
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Deep understanding of UAE planning regulations, authority approvals, and development processes.
• Strong strategic thinking, innovation mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.
