About the role

• We are looking for a highly accomplished Director to Design lead and oversee the design management and technical coordination of construction and development projects, ensuring the effective delivery of design solutions that meet project objectives, quality standards, budget requirements, and schedule commitments.
• The role provides technical expertise and guidance throughout the design lifecycle, drives collaboration among internal stakeholders and external consultants, and ensures compliance with local regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
• The Director Design is responsible for managing multidisciplinary design teams, facilitating design integration, mitigating design-related risks, and supporting the successful translation of project vision into deliverable, buildable, and commercially viable outcomes.
• Lead and oversee the design management process from concept to completion across multiple ultra-luxury developments.
• Review and critique architectural and interior design submissions to ensure alignment with Amali’s brand vision and design standards.
• Manage and coordinate the work of international and local design consultants, ensuring seamless collaboration and delivery.
• Drive innovation and creativity, balancing aesthetics, functionality, and luxury in every design decision.
• Ensure full design compliance with regulatory authorities, project timelines, and budgetary goals.
• Conduct regular design review meetings, monitor progress, and resolve design-related issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with project, engineering, and construction teams to ensure design intent is fully realized on-site.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of luxury design trends, materials, and technologies to continually elevate design quality.

Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Design Management.
• 12+ years of experience in architectural design and project delivery, with a strong portfolio in ultra-luxury residential or Mansions or Royal palace projects.
• Proven ability to manage and lead international design consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Expertise in design coordination, technical reviews, and luxury detailing.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills with a strong eye for design quality.
• Deep understanding of architecture, interiors, and landscape integration in high-end development.
• Strong sense of design innovation, precision, and commitment to excellence.
