Role overview
Carry out masonry construction and repair work in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Build and repair walls, partitions, foundations, floors, and other masonry structures.
- Prepare and apply mortar, concrete, plaster, and other construction materials.
- Perform plastering, screeding, tile fixing, grouting, and surface finishing.
- Measure, cut, shape, and align masonry materials accurately.
- Repair damaged masonry, cracks, concrete surfaces, and structural finishes.
- Use and maintain masonry tools and equipment safely.
- Follow site HSE procedures, PPE requirements, and supervisor instructions.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant Mason experience; construction, industrial, or infrastructure experience is preferred.
- Experience in brickwork, blockwork, plastering, concrete repair, screeding, and finishing.
- Read basic construction drawings, measurements, levels, and specifications.
- Know mortar preparation, concrete mixing, alignment, leveling, and finishing techniques.
- Use masonry hand and power tools.
- Be physically fit for demanding site conditions and understand construction safety and PPE requirements.
- Immediate joiners with a valid QID are preferred.
