Job Summary
Perform masonry work including brick, concrete block, and stone installation, plastering, and related construction activities.
Complete work in accordance with project drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Core Duties
- Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and stone according to construction drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and apply mortar and other construction materials.
- Perform plastering and basic finishing work as required.
- Read and interpret basic construction drawings and work instructions.
- Measure, align, and level walls and structures using appropriate tools.
- Repair and maintain masonry structures when required.
- Ensure completed work is accurate and meets quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and work effectively with construction team members.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience as a Mason on construction projects.
- Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings.
- Good knowledge of masonry materials, tools, and equipment.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor.
Skills
- Masonry and bricklaying expertise.
- Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Attention to detail and workmanship quality.
- Time management, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed on construction sites.
