HSE Management and Risk
- Develop, implement, maintain, and update HSE policies and procedures in line with applicable regulations and operational practices.
- Conduct marine operations and facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments; identify hazards and recommend or implement controls.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identify root causes, prepare reports, and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Training and Emergency Response
- Organize HSE training sessions and drills for marine personnel and ensure staff are trained in emergency response procedures and safety-equipment use.
- Develop and maintain marine emergency response plans and coordinate drills so personnel understand emergency procedures.
Compliance and Records
- Monitor maritime safety and environmental regulations, liaise with regulatory bodies, and ensure necessary permits and certifications are obtained and maintained.
- Maintain accurate HSE, inspection, training, incident, and safety-equipment maintenance records; prepare reports and monthly lessons-learned documentation.
- Collaborate with departments, project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to promote safety and continuous improvement.
- Inform higher management and HR of malpractice, misconduct, or illegal procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in HSE roles within the marine industry and UAE experience as an HSE Officer in the marine industry.
- Knowledge of marine safety regulations and best practices.
- Relevant certification such as NEBOSH International General Certificate or OSHA Certification.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management software.
Pay
- AED 1,900–8,000 per month.
