Operate a 40-foot passenger boat with capacity for 20 to 30 passengers, following established routes and schedules.
The Captain has responsibility for passenger safety and the safekeeping of the vessel.
Responsibilities
- Navigate using instruments and equipment and make accurate course adjustments.
- Follow maritime safety rules; conduct passenger briefings, drills, and safety-equipment inspections.
- Serve passengers and provide route, points-of-interest, and safety commentary as appropriate.
- Oversee routine maintenance and minor repairs; identify issues and coordinate major repairs.
- Communicate with port authorities, shipping agents, and other relevant parties.
- Respond to emergencies, coordinate rescue services where needed, and report incidents.
- Complete operational and passenger-safety documents and reports and comply with applicable rules and policies.
- Maintain client relationships, follow client instructions, and escalate requests considered unsafe to the relevant marine personnel.
Qualifications
- Valid 24m Commercial License.
- Basic STCW training.
- Immediately available in the UAE.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 3,000–4,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
