Permanent Managing Quantity Surveyor position with Balfour Beatty – Energy, supporting the ASTI Project in Peterhead, Scotland.
Provides commercial leadership on a major energy infrastructure programme supporting Scotland’s energy network.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support Quantity Surveying staff and guide project teams on commercial matters.
- Develop and deliver commercial strategy to protect margin and manage risk.
- Oversee cost reporting, forecasting, cash flow, valuations and final accounts.
- Manage subcontract procurement, subcontract accounts and commercial performance.
- Identify, value and agree customer variations; support project reviews, reporting and commercial decisions.
- Ensure compliance with BMS and Group Minimum Commercial Expectations; promote Zero Harm and sustainability.
Requirements
- Substantial quantity surveying experience in construction or infrastructure and proven commercial performance on complex projects.
- Strong understanding of margin, risk, cash flow, forecasting and contract administration.
- Experience leading, influencing and developing commercial teams.
- Valid CSCS card required; RICS, CIOB, ICE or similar professional membership or qualification is desirable.
