Risk Systems Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Interface between Group Risk and IT Development to clarify requirements, resolve issues, support testing and prioritize enhancements.
• Maintain and improve monthly risk reporting for stakeholders and business risk champions.
• Support development of the Risk Library and improve understanding of core and common risks.
• Analyse realised risk data to identify patterns, future exposure and ways to strengthen internal controls.
• Identify emerging risk trends for half-year and full-year reporting and the Group Risk Profile.
• Improve Key Risk Indicators to provide visibility of changing risk exposure.

Requirements

• Experience supporting business systems or applications, including requirements analysis, issue investigation and user acceptance testing.
• Power BI and SQL experience for data analysis and reporting is desirable.
• Strong data analysis, reporting, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for improvement.
• Good understanding of business risk management principles.
• Passing a BPSS check is essential.

• The role may be based at an office in London, Newcastle or Motherwell.
