Provides specialized expertise and manages treasury functions such as cash management, risk management, and investment management to support organizational financial goals.
Treasury responsibilities
- Implement treasury policies and procedures focused on effective cash and borrowing management.
- Forecast cash flow, control liquidity, and identify short-term investment opportunities.
- Evaluate project financing options and recommend funding techniques.
- Recommend capital-structure improvements, including debt-to-equity ratios, aligned with company strategy.
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions to support funding needs.
- Analyze investment-related interest rate and foreign exchange risks and recommend mitigations.
- Oversee investment trade processing, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Advise the investment team on transaction structure, finance, and capital structure.
- Present cash flow forecasts and treasury analyses to senior management and the board.
- Ensure compliance with treasury-related banking regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
Leadership responsibilities
- Oversee treasury workforce planning, talent acquisition strategies, staffing reports, and budgets.
- Set team performance objectives using treasury KPIs and conduct midyear and year-end reviews.
- Identify talent for pivotal roles and coordinate succession planning with Human Capital.
- Resolve team grievances and conflicts promptly.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in finance and treasury.
Preferred certifications
- Preferred certifications include CTP, CFA, FRM, CPA, or CMA.
