Job Purpose
Support the development of Islamic Banking financial and regulatory reporting and product accounting and testing.
Develop toward leading and controlling most Islamic Banking and general ledger control activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement an effective Islamic Banking financial reporting framework.
- Manage Islamic financial and regulatory reporting, including consolidated financial statements.
- Implement the separate ALCO process.
- Implement Islamic Banking product accounting in line with AAOIFI Standards and IFRS.
- Assess the impact of new changes and execute implementation plans.
- Own and control the general ledger and complete GL sign-offs.
- Support implementation of the Shari'a Governance Framework across the bank.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Banking, or an MBA.
- Professional qualification is preferable, including ACCA, CPA, or a master's qualification in Commerce or Economics.
- A diploma or certification in Islamic Banking is an additional advantage.
Work Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of Finance department experience in the banking industry.
- Islamic Banking experience is required.
- Audit firm training experience is needed.
