Seeking a commercially driven manager experienced in category operations, commercial planning, and retail execution.
The role focuses on grocery or FMCG categories, supplier management, pricing, promotions, category performance, revenue growth, margins, and operational optimization.
What you'll do
- Develop commercial strategies for revenue growth, profitability, and market competitiveness; oversee assortment, pricing, promotions, and product availability.
- Lead supplier and brand negotiations; monitor revenue, margins, sell-through, availability, and promotional KPIs.
- Optimize category assortment and commercial plans; collaborate across supply chain, merchandising, marketing, and operations.
- Assess market trends, competitor pricing, and consumer behavior; prepare performance reviews and recommendations.
- Improve processes and ensure alignment with commercial policies, operating standards, and business objectives.
What you'll need
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in category management, category operations, commercial operations, or retail merchandising.
- Experience with established retailers, grocery, or FMCG businesses.
- Strong knowledge of category performance, supplier negotiations, pricing, promotions, and margins.
- Ability to analyze business data and turn insights into commercial actions; strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Cross-functional experience and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced Excel skills; BI tools or retail analytics platform experience is an advantage.
