Air conditioning systems
- Install, maintain, and repair split, VRF, and ducted AC systems.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot systems to restore functionality quickly.
- Clean and replace filters, fans, and coils to support efficient operation.
Cold-room systems
- Inspect, maintain, and repair cold rooms and refrigeration units.
- Maintain temperatures required for perishable goods.
- Resolve refrigerant leaks, compressor failures, and sensor malfunctions.
- Perform defrosting and ensure proper airflow in cold-storage units.
Preventive maintenance
- Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules for AC and refrigeration systems.
- Inspect equipment regularly and address potential problems before failure.
Compliance and safety
- Ensure HVAC and refrigeration systems comply with local safety and environmental regulations.
- Handle refrigerants responsibly and follow safety protocols around electrical components, refrigerants, and heavy equipment.
Documentation and reporting
- Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service activities.
- Provide the Facility Manager with reports on system performance and required upgrades.
Education and experience
- Diploma or ITI certification in Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of HVAC and refrigeration maintenance experience; retail, warehousing, or cold-storage experience is preferred.
- Proven expertise maintaining cold rooms, chillers, and freezer units.
- EPA or F-Gas refrigeration/HVAC certification is a plus.
- A valid UAE driving licence is required.
Skills and competencies
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, HVAC systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment for refrigeration and AC systems.
- Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, independence, and effective task management.
- Good communication for reporting and coordinating with team members.
Schedule
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergencies.
