About noon

Noon builds digital products and services across the Middle East and operates Noon Minutes, a quick-commerce platform offering grocery and FMCG products in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Role overview

The Associate Director leads end-to-end warehousing operations across Saudi Arabia.

The role covers multi-site ambient, chilled, and frozen facilities, operational excellence, cost optimization, workforce planning, middle-mile transportation, replenishment, and network expansion.

Operations and service

  • Lead warehouse operations across Riyadh, Jeddah, and other Saudi locations.
  • Maintain operational excellence, food safety, inventory accuracy, SOPs, service levels, business continuity, and efficient capacity utilization.
  • Manage replenishment from warehouses to dark stores, ensuring inventory availability, dispatch planning, and service levels.
  • Coordinate with demand planning, inventory management, and dark-store operations.

Cost, workforce, and finance

  • Own operating costs and meet approved cost-per-order and cost-per-unit targets.
  • Drive savings through process optimization, efficient resource use, and waste reduction without compromising quality or safety.
  • Plan staffing around forecast volumes, shifts, and seasonal demand; optimize labor productivity and overtime.
  • Own OPEX and CAPEX budgets, forecasts, and performance reviews; assess proposals, ROI, and budget variances.

Expansion, infrastructure, and performance

  • Lead warehouse expansion from capacity planning and site readiness through commissioning and operational handover.
  • Optimize the warehouse network, storage capacity, infrastructure, and capital deployment within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Oversee infrastructure, maintenance, equipment reliability, refrigeration, preventive maintenance, and facility uptime.
  • Establish dashboards, SOPs, and governance; monitor operational KPIs and drive corrective action and continuous improvement.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 12–16 years of relevant warehousing and supply-chain experience, including substantial leadership of large-scale, multi-site warehouse operations.
  • A master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration is an advantage.

Operational qualifications

  • Experience managing geographically distributed facilities and accountability for performance, cost, and service delivery.
  • Strong exposure to ambient, chilled, and frozen warehousing, preferably in high-volume distribution.
  • Expertise in warehouse cost management, CPO optimization, AOP planning, OPEX and CAPEX, workforce productivity, and capacity management.
  • Expertise in middle-mile transportation, route optimization, distribution planning, and warehouse-to-store replenishment.
  • Experience with warehouse expansion, infrastructure development, capital investment, and commissioning.
  • E-commerce, quick-commerce, retail, FMCG, or other high-volume fulfillment experience is strongly preferred.

Working approach

The employer values high standards, resourcefulness, bias for action, originality, and readiness to adapt, pivot, and learn.
