Logistic Supervisor

Job purpose

Key responsibilities

• Supervise import, export, and domestic shipments from dispatch through clearance to final delivery; flag delays and exceptions.
• Coordinate shipping lines, freight forwarders, transporters, customs brokers, suppliers, and warehouse teams.
• Verify shipping and customs documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading or air waybills, delivery orders, and certificates of origin.
• Monitor schedules, ETAs, vessel and container movements, clearance, delivery appointments, and proof of delivery.
• Follow up on customs clearance, port releases, demurrage or detention exposure, and missing documents; escalate issues.
• Coordinate warehouse receiving and dispatch and report quantity, SKU, batch, expiry-date, and product-condition discrepancies.
• Oversee logistics coordinators; maintain trackers, records, KPIs, daily updates, and exception reports.
• Resolve shipment discrepancies, invoice issues, and delivery priorities with procurement, sales, finance, and inventory teams.
• Support FEFO/FIFO handling and temperature-sensitive or time-critical FMCG shipments where applicable.
• Review freight and transport charges against agreed rates and supporting documents; ensure applicable UAE and company compliance.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant FMCG logistics experience, preferably in the UAE, including shipment monitoring and supervisory responsibilities.
• Hands-on knowledge of import/export shipments, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and shipping documentation.
• Experience with high-volume, time-sensitive FMCG products and warehouse deliveries is preferred.
• MS Excel and shipment tracking systems proficiency; ERP/SAP experience is an advantage.

• Clear communication with logistics partners and cross-functional stakeholders; timely status reporting and risk escalation.

Pay

• AED 10–100 per month.
