Duties include watching water, responding to emergencies, operating rides and attractions, giving instructions, training, and maintaining swimming, lifeguarding, and basic life support skills.
Job scope
- Ride rides, slides, and attractions as required for operations and follow ride dispatch and guest-safety procedures.
- Ensure guest, colleague, and contractor safety.
- Work at heights, in water, outdoors, and in extreme temperatures throughout the year.
- Maintain test-ready rescue and basic life support skills and follow training standards.
- Move furniture, ride vehicles, and equipment in and out of the park.
- Work nights, evenings, and/or holidays and perform other duties as directed.
Job essentials
- 20/25 vision, corrected or uncorrected.
- Swim at least 50 meters nonstop using front crawl or breaststroke.
- Swim underwater to 1.4 meters for 3 meters and retrieve a 10-pound brick.
- Maintain test-ready lifeguard skills in accordance with the International Lifeguard Training Program.
- Basic spoken English proficiency.
Desirable qualifications
- International Lifeguard Training Program or similar experience, swimming experience, and previous lifeguard experience are desirable.
- UAE driver’s or buggy license, SCUBA certification, and guest service experience are desirable.
- Swimming 200 meters nonstop, retrieving a 10-pound brick from 5 meters, and treading water for 2 minutes without using arms are desirable.
- Intermediate or better English and basic spoken Arabic are desirable.
Schedule and conditions
- Role may involve nights, evenings, and/or holidays.
- Work may take place at heights, in water, outdoors, and in extreme temperatures year-round.
