Food and Beverage Associate

About the role

Guest service and sales

• Welcome and engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Help guests choose from the menu and explain food and beverage options.
• Recommend and upsell food, beverages, side dishes, and promotional offerings.
• Take and relay orders accurately and serve items according to service standards.
• Handle guest queries and complaints professionally and support appropriate guest recovery.

Outlet operations

• Keep tables, service areas, equipment, and the outlet clean, organized, and presentable.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Support restaurant opening and closing procedures.
• Replenish stock, condiments, and other supplies as required.
• Maintain product knowledge to support guest recommendations and upselling.

Safety and teamwork

• Follow food safety, HACCP, health and safety, hygiene, and company procedures.
• Participate in required training, including applicable food safety training.
• Support other outlet duties and contribute a positive, proactive, team-oriented approach.

Essential requirements

• High School Diploma and at least 1 year of Food & Beverage experience.
• Previous customer service experience, good communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic cash-handling and POS experience, plus knowledge of food and beverage products.
• Ability to upsell, strong attention to detail, and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and willingness to learn, follow instructions, and develop continuously.

Desirable qualifications

• Previous Waiter/Waitress experience in a 4-star hotel is desirable.
• Two or more years of Food & Beverage experience is desirable.
• Banquet service experience or training is desirable.
• Bilingual ability is desirable; Arabic is preferred.
