Legal Compliance Manager

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on business operations.
• Identify compliance obligations and support business units in assessing and mitigating legal and compliance risks.
• Conduct compliance reviews of contracts, commercial agreements, policies, and business activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory authorities, external legal counsel, industry associations, and key stakeholders.
• Lead investigations and resolution of compliance-related matters while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to corporate governance standards.
• Develop and deliver compliance awareness programs and training initiatives across the organization.
• Provide practical legal guidance to support business decision-making while balancing commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve compliance processes and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Law.
• Valid legal practicing qualification or Bar admission.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Legal Compliance, Corporate Compliance, Corporate Governance, Regulatory Compliance, or Legal Advisory.
• Excellent knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance principles.
• Strong legal research, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Chinese and/or Arabic language skills are highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational and cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience within a multinational corporation (MNC), financial institution, or international law firm.
• Professional certifications such as:
• CAMS
• CFCS
• CIPP/E
• CIPM

• ICA International Compliance Diploma

• Experience supporting compliance investigations and regulatory engagement
