Role focus
The role focuses on production BPM solutions using Flowable, BPMN 2.0, Java 17+, and Spring Boot 3.x.
Technical environment
- Listed technologies include REST/OpenAPI, Kafka events, process testing, GitHub Actions, Maven or Gradle, Prometheus, Grafana, OAuth2/OIDC, and agentic development.
- Nice-to-have technologies include Flowable Work and Engage, ML or LLM service-task integrations, SWIFT MT/MX, CBUAE Open Banking APIs, event sourcing, and UiPath or Automation Anywhere.
Qualifications and experience
- Requires 6+ years of software engineering experience and 4+ years with Flowable, or Activiti/Camunda experience with willingness to migrate to Flowable.
- Requires production delivery of end-to-end BPM solutions and Java/Spring Boot capability to implement delegates, REST clients, and tests independently.
- Banking, fintech, insurance, or other regulated financial-services experience is strongly preferred.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is requested; equivalent professional experience is accepted.
- Offshore Development Center or distributed engineering experience is advantageous; OMG BPMN or Flowable training certification is a plus.
Work
- Deliver BPM solutions in production, including embedding, deploying, and operating process engines at scale.
- Implement process delegates, REST clients, and tests; additional listed topics include APIs, events, monitoring, and process testing.
