Education and experience
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least five years of coding experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS preprocessors or CSS-in-JS for high-performance responsive enterprise applications.
- At least five years of coding experience with NodeJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and NoSQL databases.
- Banking or retail domain knowledge is beneficial.
Development responsibilities
- Develop responsive user interface components that are self-contained, reusable, and testable.
- Architect and automate production builds using task runners or scripts.
- Monitor and improve front-end performance.
- Develop scalable, highly available RESTful APIs using NodeJS technologies.
- Write tested, idiomatic, documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop responsive web-based user interfaces.
- Write non-blocking code and use advanced techniques such as multi-threading.
Technical skills
- Apply CI/CD principles and troubleshoot issues in distributed services environments.
- Understand containerization; Docker and Kubernetes are listed.
- API gateway integrations such as 3Scale are listed as exposure.
- Understand single sign-on or token-based authentication, including REST, JWT, and OAuth.
- Task and message queue technologies listed include AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin, and Kafka.
- GraphQL experience is beneficial.
- Styled Components, Tailwind CSS, Material UI, and other CSS-in-JS techniques are listed.
- Understand platform, database, API, caching, proxy, and other web-service responsibilities.
