The role is Lead Engineer - Workshop, with responsibility for independently managing and operating the IBU.
Relevant experience in workshop operations is required; Oil & Gas or industrial maintenance sector experience is preferred.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Five to ten years of relevant workshop operations experience.
- Extensive experience in valve repair, refurbishment, servicing, testing, and calibration.
- Proven mechanical workshop operations experience and basic knowledge of machine shop activities.
- Hands-on expertise in valve maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, testing, and online/offline valve calibration.
- Experience in workshop management, team leadership, resource planning, and client coordination.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, technical documentation, HSE requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A valid Qatar driving license is preferred.
Key responsibilities and capabilities
- Independently manage and operate the IBU.
- Understand market trends, business development opportunities, and customer requirements.
- Manage workshop operations and valve repair, refurbishment, servicing, testing, and calibration work.
- Lead teams, plan resources, and coordinate with clients.
Pay
- Pay is QAR 6,500 to QAR 8,000 per month.
