Electrical discipline leadership

• Lead the electrical engineering team across assigned projects and allocate work to engineers and designers.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and support; monitor workload, resourcing, productivity, and deliverable progress.
• Maintain consistent technical standards and support recruitment, technical interviews, and professional development when required.

Electrical design management

• Oversee electrical design for buildings and infrastructure, including MV/LV distribution, utility connections, substations, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, batteries, and emergency power.
• Cover lighting, small power, earthing, lightning protection, cables, containment, infrastructure corridors, duct banks, manholes, and utility interfaces.
• Address applicable renewable-energy, photovoltaic, and EV-charging interfaces.

Calculations and technical review

• Ensure preparation and independent review of load, demand, diversity, transformer, generator, UPS, cable, voltage-drop, short-circuit, and protection calculations.
• Review arc-flash, earthing, lightning, lighting, emergency lighting, harmonic, power-quality, motor-starting, capacitor-bank, and power-factor calculations where applicable.
• Ensure suitable engineering software and methods are used and calculations are independently checked before issue.

Design deliverables

• Lead preparation and review of design basis reports, criteria, specifications, single-line diagrams, load and equipment schedules, layouts, and data sheets.
• Review cable and interface schedules, bills of quantities, material specifications, tender documents, technical reports, and authority submission packages.

Regulatory and authority compliance

• Apply the Saudi Building Code, including applicable SBC 401 Saudi Electrical Code requirements.
• Ensure compliance with SEC standards, the Saudi Arabian Distribution Code, the Saudi Grid Code, and Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu standards where applicable.
• Meet project-specific authority requirements and applicable Saudi Civil Defense and SASO requirements.
