Lead Business System Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Translate and validate complex business rules with stakeholders and align definitions, logic, and expected outcomes.
• Curate feature-specific test datasets for functional and regression testing across system modules.
• Design synthetic, anonymized, or masked test data that covers edge cases, compliance scenarios, and performance needs.
• Understand upstream applications and document data flows with application teams and architects.
• Implement masking to protect sensitive information in non-production environments.
• Design and evaluate system solutions; assess current systems and recommend improvements or replacements.
• Create system diagrams and technical specifications to guide implementation.
• Identify inefficiencies in legacy and other systems; use value-stream analysis to find bottlenecks and automation or data-driven improvements.

Must-have qualifications

• Strong knowledge of equities, options, mutual funds, foreign exchange, and fixed-income products.
• Strong business analysis experience in financial services, including data analysis and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to document business processes, functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Git version control.
• Ability to identify and implement appropriate AI opportunities across business analysis, requirements, data analysis, testing, and operations.
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and advanced SQL for relational data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

Preferred qualifications

• CBAP or PMI-PBA certification is preferred.
• A Master's Certificate in Business Analysis is preferred.
