Monitor and process batch and online applications across platforms in multiple IBM z/OS environments on a 7x24x365 basis.
Handle production problem situations and apply changes to the z/OS application environment.
Production support duties
- Monitor batch job flows across z/OS, VSE, HP, UNIX, Windows, and iSeries using ZEKE and MVS/ISPF.
- Identify problems through monitoring, calls, emails, and tickets; provide production support and engage the appropriate technical teams.
- Review errors with management, recommend lasting solutions, and identify potential bank impacts.
- Implement application changes, verify results, and maintain service availability in line with client expectations and service-level agreements.
- Use ZEKE, ZEBB, MVS, ISPF, IMS, DB2, VSM, OMS, OnDemand, CICS, ServiceNow, and Connect:Direct daily.
Must-have qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with an IT background and change management experience in complex programs with frequent requests and competing priorities.
- Strong written, oral, and presentation skills, including ability to assess stakeholder and project communication needs.
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.
- Ability to work in a 7x24x365 hybrid environment and meet quality standards while handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
Preferred qualifications
- Programming or coding experience with Angular, React/Vue.js, VBA, C#, Node.js, Active Directory, Elasticsearch, or Windows Servers.
- Experience with JCL environments and mainframe computing.
- Postsecondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology.
- Experience working rotating shifts in a hybrid environment.

- The role describes a 7x24x365 hybrid environment.
Hours
- The position lists 37.5 work hours per week and production operations coverage on a 7x24x365 basis.
