  • Generate synthetic, anonymized, or masked test data covering edge cases, compliance scenarios, and performance requirements.
  • Document data flows by understanding upstream applications and working with application teams and architects.
  • Implement data masking to protect sensitive information in non-production environments.
  • Design and evaluate system solutions; assess systems and recommend improvements or replacements; create diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Identify inefficiencies in legacy and other systems and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct value stream analysis to find bottlenecks and opportunities for automation or data-driven improvement.
  • Communicate with RBC partners and employees across Canada and worldwide.

Must-have qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of equity, options, mutual funds, foreign exchange, and fixed-income products.
  • Strong financial-services business analysis experience, including data and root-cause analysis for business and system issues.
  • Ability to document business processes, functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Git version control.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and implement AI opportunities in business analysis, requirements management, data analysis, testing, and operational processes.
  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs for system data exchange.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency for extracting, transforming, and analyzing relational data.

Nice-to-have qualifications

  • CBAP or PMI-PBA certification is preferred.
  • A Master's Certificate in Business Analysis is preferred.
