About the role

Lead business analysis delivery across a wide range of projects in FCDO Services' Digital and Data technology team.

The team provides digital solutions, programme and application support, bespoke secure software and cloud platform services for government partners.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish analysis standards and templates, assure outputs, and maintain consistency, traceability and alignment with government capability frameworks.
  • Create reusable business artefacts and analyse business rules, data models and user documentation.
  • Translate complex business needs into testable requirements.
  • Represent the business group at governance boards, committees and design authorities.
  • Lead and mentor analysts and provide expert consultancy to stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Review supplier requirements, manage dependencies, and maintain standards, risk, compliance and change.
  • Monitor metrics, feedback and data, improve analysis methods and promote evidence-based decisions.

What you'll bring

  • Translate business needs into user stories and requirements; conduct current-state and future-state process mapping and gap analysis, and develop change plans.
  • Experience collaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders and developing, mentoring and managing colleagues.
  • Ability to lead business analysis, service design and delivery of complex IT or digital services.
  • A Computer Science or Information Technology degree, professional-level Business Analysis certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Ability to design secure or air-gapped government platforms and knowledge of NCSC, GDS and relevant UK government security frameworks.
  • Ability to lead co-design workshops and apply human-centred design methods to complex problems.

Pay and contract

  • The stated salary is £62,561–£65,371, plus a £1,750 location allowance.
  • The position is permanent and full-time.

Location

  • The listed work location is Hanslope, South East England.
