Role overview

Join the Digital and Data technology team at FCDO Services, which provides digital solutions and support for government customers.

Lead business analysis delivery across projects and help deliver secure, robust and cost-effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish analysis standards, templates and assurance, ensuring consistency, traceability and alignment with government capability frameworks.
  • Produce reusable business artefacts and analyse business rules, data models and user documentation.
  • Translate complex business needs into testable requirements and represent the group at governance and design forums.
  • Lead and mentor analysts, provide consultancy and collaborate with stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
  • Manage dependencies, risk, compliance and change; monitor delivery metrics and improve analysis methods.

Candidate requirements

  • Translate business needs into user stories and requirements; conduct as-is and to-be process mapping and gap analysis.
  • Bring experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and mentoring and managing colleagues.
  • Be able to lead business analysis, service design and complex IT or digital service delivery.
  • Have a Computer Science or IT degree, professional-level Business Analysis certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Be able to design secure or air-gapped government platforms and know relevant NCSC, GDS and UK government security frameworks.
  • Lead co-design workshops and use human-centred design methods; communicate confidently and collaboratively.

  • The listed location is Hanslope, South East England.
  • The listed working pattern is full-time.

Pay and contract

  • The role is permanent.
  • The stated salary range is £62,561 to £65,371, plus a £1,750 location allowance.
  • The role includes a Civil Service Pension with a stated employer contribution of 28.97%.
