Role overview

Process hotel linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items efficiently and to the high standards of a 5-star luxury hotel.

Key responsibilities

Collect, sort, count, and classify linen, uniforms, guest laundry, and other fabric items.
Operate laundry machines and equipment safely and efficiently; inspect items for stains, damage, and quality.
Apply suitable washing, stain-removal, drying, pressing, and finishing methods for each fabric type.
Fold, press, package, and distribute clean items; process guest laundry and dry-cleaning within turnaround times.
Separate clean and soiled linen, report damaged or missing items, and maintain clean, organized work and storage areas.
Follow hotel health, safety, hygiene, chemical-handling, and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous hotel or commercial laundry experience preferred, with 4- or 5-star hotel experience an advantage.
Basic laundry operations and fabric-care knowledge, including stain removal, washing, drying, ironing, and pressing.
Ability to operate laundry equipment safely; good physical fitness to stand for long periods and move laundry bags or linen.
Attention to detail, commitment to hygiene and quality, teamwork, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced hotel.
Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
