Land Surveyor

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct land, topographic, and construction surveys for project sites.
• Establish and maintain control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates.
• Perform setting out for buildings, roads, utilities, infrastructure, and structural works.
• Verify site dimensions, alignments, elevations, and coordinates against approved drawings.
• Carry out as-built surveys and prepare survey reports.
• Monitor excavation, foundation, and construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Operate and maintain surveying instruments including Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and related equipment.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Consultants, and Subcontractors on survey requirements.
• Prepare survey calculations, field notes, sketches, and documentation.
• Assist in resolving site discrepancies and coordinate adjustments when required.
• Ensure survey data accuracy and maintain proper records of all survey activities.
• Comply with company HSE policies and project safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or related field.
• Professional certification in surveying is an advantage.
• Valid UAE Driving License preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum
• 5 years of experience
• as a Land Surveyor in UAE/GCC construction projects.
• Experience in building, infrastructure, road, utility, or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Municipality requirements and survey standards is preferred.
• Experience working in contracting companies is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, Leica, Trimble, or equivalent surveying equipment.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and survey data processing software.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and site layout procedures.
• Ability to perform survey calculations and prepare accurate reports.
• Knowledge of local surveying regulations and standards.
