Supports daily operations at the Heartists Cafeteria by maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in kitchen and service areas.
Responsibilities
- Clean kitchen areas, equipment, floors, and workstations; wash and sanitize utensils, cookware, crockery, and cutlery.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards; dispose of waste properly and keep waste storage areas clean.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely; organize dishwashing and storage areas.
- Keep clean equipment and utensils available for the culinary team during service.
- Report maintenance issues and hygiene concerns to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Previous Kitchen Steward or Dishwasher experience in a hotel, restaurant, or cafeteria is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards is required.
- Safe handling of cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment is required.
- Physical fitness, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, teamwork, communication, and time management are sought.
- An additional language is an added advantage.
