Maintains and repairs hotel equipment and systems under the guidance of the Chief Engineer.

Technical duties
- Maintains laundry, kitchen, HVAC, water-treatment, and sewage-treatment equipment.
- Performs electric arc or oxy-acetylene welding and maintains water, sewer, irrigation, fountain, and pool systems.
- Supports replacement and new-construction work, including piping, brackets, and supports.
- Repairs or replaces bathroom and toilet fixtures throughout guest and hotel areas.
- Maintains pumps, clears sewage and storm-water blockages, and cleans manholes.
- Maintains pool water clarity and applies correct chemical dosage.
- Keeps plant room, workshop, and related areas clean.
- Performs hotel repairs and maintenance, assists in emergencies, and undertakes other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer.
Experience
- One year of experience working in a hotel as a Kitchen & Laundry Technician is preferred.
Safety and sustainability
- Participates in energy conservation and environmental improvement programs to reduce energy and utility costs.
- Follows health, hygiene, fire-life-safety, security, attendance, and company policies; reports incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Participates in training and development and maintains a clean, professional uniform and appearance.
