Role overview

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, personalized service and build genuine guest relationships.
• Monitor service flow, table readiness, and guest experience; guide colleagues during service.
• Maintain service sequence, presentation, product knowledge, and operational standards.
• Support recommendations of beverages and signature offerings that enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Support opening, closing, mise-en-place, station allocation, and venue readiness.
• Coordinate with bar, kitchen, and wider food and beverage teams.
• Resolve straightforward guest concerns and escalate as appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, grooming, and health and safety standards.

Qualifications and experience

• Previous experience in a luxury hotel, high-end bar, restaurant, or lifestyle hospitality environment is sought.
• Senior waiter/waitress, captain, or junior supervisory experience is ideal.
• Candidates should be ready to guide colleagues, connect naturally with guests, and balance polished service with a relaxed style.
• Strong food and beverage operations, service-sequence, and luxury hospitality knowledge is expected.
• Premium beverage, wine, and cocktail knowledge is an advantage.
• Candidates should be organized, attentive, collaborative, and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
• A relevant hospitality qualification is preferred, while practical experience, attitude, and potential are also valued.
