The role includes preparation of ingredients and cold foods, kitchen station upkeep, and following food and workplace safety procedures.
Kitchen duties
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
- Prepare and cook food to recipes and quality and presentation standards; prepare cold foods and serve proper portions.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test food for doneness and monitor quality.
- Set up and break down the workstation; wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Check temperatures of appliances and food.
Preferred qualifications
- Preferred education: high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Preferred related work experience: at least 1 year.
- No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is listed.
Physical and safety expectations
- Follow safety and security policies, complete safety training, and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance; protect confidential information and company assets.
- The role requires extended standing, sitting, or walking; reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; and moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
