Full-time, non-management Commis 3 position for Mina's Kitchen in Food and Beverage & Culinary.
The role is not remote and is based at the Westin location in Dubai.
Food preparation and cooking
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Test foods for doneness and monitor food quality during preparation.
Kitchen operations and safety
- Set up and break down the workstation, serve correct portions, and wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Check appliance and food temperatures; follow company, safety, and security policies and report hazards, incidents, and maintenance needs.
- Complete safety training, protect company assets and confidential information, and meet quality standards.
Teamwork and physical duties
- Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to coworkers' concerns.
- Work on foot or seated for extended periods, perform reaching and bending movements, and handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is listed; no license or certification is listed.
