Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting operations, bookkeeping, and insurance-related financial recordkeeping.
- Record financial transactions, journal entries, receipts, payments, and business expenses in the accounting system.
- Verify supplier invoices, process payment documentation, and track outstanding liabilities.
- Record incoming payments, prepare invoices, and monitor outstanding receivables.
- Maintain records of premiums, policy payments, refunds, and other authorized transactions.
- Record and reconcile insurance and broker commission payments and related entries.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, debit and credit entries, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, invoice processing, and financial reporting.
- A bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant prior accounting-assistant or junior-accountant experience is an advantage.
- Experience in insurance, brokerage, financial services, or corporate accounting is desirable.
Salary
- Salary is AED 6,000–6,500 per month.
