Jr. Procurement Officer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Assist with procurement of engineering materials, equipment, and services for ongoing projects.
• Review purchase requisitions, technical specifications, and project requirements; prepare and issue RFQs to approved suppliers and subcontractors.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations commercially and technically; prepare comparison sheets and support vendor selection.
• Generate purchase orders and keep procurement documentation accurate and complete.
• Follow up on order confirmations, manufacturing status, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, QA/QC, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to support timely material delivery.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and document-control systems; support supplier qualification and performance evaluation.
• Monitor procurement schedules and report progress to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, and applicable standards; assist in resolving supplier delivery, quality, and documentation issues.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline; the education listing marks a bachelor’s degree as preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply-chain activities.
• Oil & Gas, EPC, fabrication, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering materials, equipment, and procurement processes.

• Work location is in person; Dubai is listed as preferred.
