About This Role
An IT Support Specialist is responsible for helping individuals and organizations use technology effectively by troubleshooting issues, maintaining systems, and providing technical assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Assist users with hardware, software, and network problems (in person, phone, or remote).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to computers, printers, internet connectivity, and applications.
- System Maintenance: Install, configure, and update operating systems, software, and security tools.
- User Account Management: Create and manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions.
- Documentation: Record issues, solutions, and procedures for future reference.
- Equipment Setup: Set up new computers, devices, and peripherals for employees.
- Security Support: Help maintain cybersecurity by installing antivirus software and ensuring safe usage practices.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Basic networking knowledge (LAN, Wi-Fi, routers)
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with common software (Microsoft Office, email systems)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: QAR55,000.00 - QAR84,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
