SRO Operations includes HPE NonStop, mainframe, network, and distributed systems operations supporting business clients and service partners globally.
The team strengthens its 24/7 support model with automation and monitoring improvements.
What you will do
- Provide 24/7/365 technical support for RBC’s global HPE NonStop environments.
- Manage faults and incidents, escalate problems, handle changes, and run and monitor batches.
- Recommend process improvements, including message suppression and toil reduction, and automate manual tasks.
- Support continuous improvement and excellent client service.
Must-have qualifications
- Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills and ability to identify stakeholder and project communication needs.
- Strong understanding of technology and/or financial services.
- Ability to learn tools and systems quickly, apply knowledge, and share it with others.
- Ability to manage expectations with teams, management, and clients and deliver on commitments.
- Strong knowledge of HPE NonStop (Tandem), IBM iSeries, NSK technologies and operating systems, Unix, AIX, Linux, networks, distributed systems, and console-based technologies.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow, Moogsoft, ITIL Foundation, and mainframe tools and platforms is listed.
Nice to have
- Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large publicly traded corporation.
- Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision-makers.
- Strategic thinking and interpersonal skills for working across functions and businesses.
