Role overview

Insurance programs and coverage

• Develops, implements, and manages insurance programs to protect organizational assets and mitigate risks.
• Evaluates and recommends property, liability, business interruption, and specialty coverage.
• Negotiates terms and premiums with brokers, carriers, and underwriters using industry relationships.
• Monitors industry trends, regulations, and emerging risks.

Risk, claims, and compliance

• Assesses risks for existing and new operations, projects, and assets, and collaborates on mitigation.
• Oversees claims filing, negotiation, and resolution; serves as primary contact for carriers and adjusters.
• Ensures regulatory and contractual compliance and reports coverage, claims, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership.
• Works with finance, legal, and operations teams on coverage and risk management.

Qualifications and experience

• Extensive industry relations and asset-heavy industry experience; data center experience is an added advantage.
• Strong background in insurance strategy, risk management, policy development, program management, and claims.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of insurance management experience, including 5 years in a management role.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance requirements.

Certifications and competencies

• CPCU, ARM, or CIC certification is listed as a professional certification example.
• Requires strategic thinking, collaboration, adaptability, attention to detail, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
