Leasing and business development
- Develop leasing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue targets.
- Identify and secure tenants through direct marketing, networking, and broker relationships; conduct property viewings and presentations.
- Negotiate lease terms, renewals, and amendments; prepare and review lease agreements and supporting documents.
Tenant relationships
- Build relationships with existing and prospective tenants, address enquiries, and coordinate issue resolution.
- Manage renewals, rent reviews, and retention initiatives while maintaining tenant satisfaction and service delivery.
Financial management and market research
- Monitor rental income and occupancy, recommend rental rates, and prepare leasing budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
- Coordinate with finance on invoicing, payments, and outstanding receivables.
- Track market trends, competitors, and rental rates; identify opportunities and recommend ways to improve occupancy and profitability.
Administration and team leadership
- Maintain leasing records and ensure agreements comply with applicable laws and company policies; coordinate with legal on documentation and disputes.
- Supervise and mentor leasing executives and coordinators, set performance objectives, monitor productivity, and provide training.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Professional real estate or property management certification is advantageous.
- 3–5 years of leasing or property management experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Commercial, residential, or mixed-use portfolio experience is preferred.
Skills and competencies
- Strong negotiation and sales skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of leasing practices, contracts, and property regulations.
- Financial and commercial acumen; analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; strong leadership and team management skills.
