Lead BIM for mechanical design on large-scale, mission-critical data center developments across international markets.
The role is based in Dubai and supports the Data Centre Design team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor multidisciplinary BIM/CAD teams, ensuring high-quality design deliverables.
- Oversee mechanical BIM modelling, CAD production, and coordination from concept through detailed design and IFC.
- Coordinate HVAC, cooling, and associated MEP infrastructure.
- Manage multidisciplinary model coordination, clash detection, and design reviews.
- Set BIM/CAD standards, workflows, quality assurance processes, and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with engineering consultants, design managers, and project stakeholders.
Mandatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of BIM/CAD and engineering design experience.
- Proven BIM/CAD team leadership, including supervision of technical deliverables and team performance.
- Recent data center design experience; hyperscale or large-scale facility experience is ideal.
- Strong mechanical design knowledge, particularly HVAC and cooling systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Experience delivering mechanical design and BIM documentation through IFC, with strong MEP coordination and clash-resolution experience.
