Qualifications
- Coding proficiency: Candidates should possess solid Medical Coding and Coding Experience for inpatient settings.
- Professional credentials and education: Candidates should possess RHIT certification and/or formal training in Health Information Management.
- Clinical language and documentation: Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Medical Terminology and the ability to interpret clinical documentation accurately.
- Additional beneficial qualifications: Familiarity with ICD and CPT/HCPCS coding systems, understanding of payer rules and authorization processes, and experience with electronic health record systems.
- Core competencies: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication with clinical and administrative teams, and the ability to manage workload and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
