Qualifications
- Demonstrated Coding Experience in inpatient settings, with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications such as RHIT or equivalent credential in Health Information Management or a related field.
- Solid understanding of Health Information Management principles, including documentation standards and information governance.
- Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology and Medical Coding systems (e.g., ICD, CPT), particularly for inpatient services.
- Experience with insurance authorization processes, payer policies, and medical necessity criteria.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding/billing software.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with clinicians, billing, and payer representatives.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Abu Dhabi; prior healthcare experience in the region is an advantage.
- Commitment to confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and continuous professional development in coding and reimbursement guidelines.
