Qualifications
- Clinical skills in small animal or mixed animal medicine, including physical examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and routine surgical procedures.
- Strong knowledge of preventive care, including vaccination protocols, parasite control, nutrition, and wellness counseling.
- Proficiency in interpreting laboratory tests, imaging results, and other diagnostic tools to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to explain medical information clearly, build trust with clients, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to maintain accurate, timely medical records and follow clinical, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (or equivalent) from an accredited institution and current license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice veterinary medicine in the UAE.
- Experience in a clinical veterinary setting; prior work in companion animal, emergency, or specialty care is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ethical, compassionate animal care.
- Willingness to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and, if required, participate in weekend or on-call rotations.
- Familiarity with veterinary practice management software and digital record systems is preferred.
