Role overview

Architecture and infrastructure responsibilities

• Design, deploy, manage, and improve hybrid infrastructure across Azure, Google Cloud, and on-premises data centers.
• Own architecture for compute, storage, virtualization, cloud services, and core infrastructure platforms.
• Lead migration, modernization, capacity planning, scalability, and optimization; define practical adoption, resilience, and lifecycle roadmaps.
• Provide senior technical guidance for infrastructure projects, designs, standards, and technology decisions.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux; manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file services, certificates, and Microsoft 365.
• Design, manage, and troubleshoot VMware, Hyper-V, and ESXi; manage server patching, hardening, capacity, performance, and availability.
• Design and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing, switching, VLANs, network services, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and related appliances.
• Maintain secure site, data center, and cloud connectivity; diagnose complex incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Administer cloud services and implement landing zones, identity controls, segmentation, secure connectivity, and least-privilege access.
• Own backup operations; design, document, and test disaster recovery, business continuity, and restoration procedures.
• Implement monitoring, alerts, dashboards, automation, standards, runbooks, and problem management.
• Guide infrastructure resources, mentor junior engineers, review technical changes, and collaborate with development, application support, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of hands-on experience across enterprise infrastructure, networking, systems administration, virtualization, and cloud environments.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior infrastructure, systems, network, cloud, or infrastructure architect/engineering role.
• Strong hands-on Azure and/or Google Cloud experience covering compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring, backup, and security.
• Strong networking knowledge covering routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, wireless, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
• Advanced Windows Server and Linux administration, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and core infrastructure services.
• Strong experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and/or ESXi; experience managing physical and virtual servers, storage, data centers, and enterprise platforms.
• Automation and IaC experience with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python; monitoring knowledge with Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, ELK, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of security, hardening, IAM, MFA, segmentation, patching, vulnerability management, and secure configuration.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD concepts is preferred.

Preferred certifications

• Preferred certifications include Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700), Google Cloud certification, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP, Red Hat RHCSA/RHCE, and ITIL 4 Foundation or equivalents.
