Senior software engineering role on Agoda’s Fleet Services team, which builds and runs the Kubernetes platform and associated services.

The hire is Bangkok-based and is expected to start in Q1 2027.
What you will do
- Design, build and operate platform software in Go on Kubernetes.
- Own a platform component through delivery and production, including controllers, automation and GitOps.
- Work with InfraOps and platform user teams to make changes safe to roll out and easy to use.
- At senior level, lead component design, mentor engineers and carry production ownership without day-to-day direction.
What you’ll need
- Production software engineering experience and, at senior level, ownership of a service or platform component through design, delivery and production.
- Go or a similar systems language; practical production Kubernetes knowledge of workloads, APIs and cluster failures.
- Linux experience, testing habits and the ability to assess change health using metrics, logs and alerts.
- Clear written and spoken English for design notes, reviews and team discussions.
- Comfort with coding agents or ability to learn that workflow quickly, while maintaining judgment, code quality and ownership.
Helpful experience
- Kubernetes controllers, operators or CRDs; Cluster API; ArgoCD or other GitOps.
- Networking, DNS, certificates, load balancing, open-source operators or controllers, and infrastructure CI/CD.
- Experience working across several teams in a large engineering organization.
