Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the project's HSE Management System and ensure compliance with company, client, and statutory requirements.
• Lead risk assessments and hazard identification; investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Manage emergency preparedness and response plans, and oversee contractor HSE compliance.
• Lead internal and external audits; monitor KPIs and prepare monthly HSE reports.
• Deliver HSE training and awareness programmes; liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the project.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, science, occupational health and safety, environmental management, or a related discipline.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate is mandatory.
• At least 8 years of relevant HSE experience, including at least 3 years in an HSE Manager or supervisory position.
• Experience in one or more of facilities management, industrial operations, logistics, warehousing, food storage, port operations, or high-risk operational environments.

Additional qualifications and competencies

• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualifications are listed.
• Training in risk assessment, incident investigation, emergency response, fire safety, and permit-to-work systems.
• Competencies include integrated management systems, regulatory compliance, contractor HSE management, audits, reporting, and client and authority liaison.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
